This is really interesting to see the difference in progression between some of these runners. Keep em coming because they are interesting to look at and compare.

It all depends on your natural ability and your willingness to train hard.

Jr: 10:50 3200 (at least)
Sr: 9:23 3200, 4:28 for 1600
I started running in 9th grade, and I reached 9:30 by 11th grade. I'll also include 5k XC times along with 1600/3200.
9th- (18:50) (5:08/10:40)
10th- (17:12) (4:32/9:52)
...9:08 3k in the Summer...
11th- (16:37) (4:05 1500m/9:30.8)
Good luck.
These are 1600/3200:
Fresh - Didn't run
Soph - 5:02/10:30
Junior - 4:37/9:45
Senior - 4:27/9:29 (9:25 later in summer, though)
Sophomore: 1600m 4:18 3200m 9:12
Junior: 1600m 4:19 3200m 9:09
Senior: 1600m 4:11 3200m 8:44
My goals are the same as yours, here's my progression up until senior year of track:
Frosh- 10:08/4:43
Soph- 9:45/4:34
Junior- 9:35/4:24
Senior XC- 14:29 3m, 14:48 5k
Good luck with your goals.
I checked the distance gods 2 mile list and the only guy with the name Chris who is in the 8:40's is Solinsky. What gives? You pos'n or what? I thought Solinsky ran faster than 4:11?
I raced the mile very sparingly after freshman year, but here goes.
Freshman year: around a 2:12 800, 4:49 mile, 10:2something 2mile
Sophomore year: 2:08 800, 4:45 mile, 10:08 2mile
Junior year: 2:02 800, 4:32(somewhere around there), 9:49 2mile
Senior year: 1:56 800, 4:21 mile, 9:29 2mile
I think the key was running a lot of 800's and 1000's while keeping my mileage up (60-70 mpw). That way, you have some turnover in your legs. I also found that my times increased a TON once I started doing two runs a day (3 in the morning, 5-8 in the afternoon).
Good luck!!!

Lets keep em coming...anymore?

You apparently checked the wrong list. Or did you only check for the name Chris? That makes a lot of sense.
My Bad! The list isn't updated. I apologize.

I am curious what the meaning of 1337hax0r is? I saw it on a picture list of somebody's odd pictures containing 'tubgirl' ... what is the significance of your handle?
10:34
9:54
10:16
9:23

It's mostly just a joke. Here's an explanation of 1337, but most people just use in a sort of sarcastic/self-mocking manner:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LeetI definitely have no affiliation with tubgirl.
I went...
9th: 10:32 /4:44
10th: 10:02/ 4:33
11th: 9:46/ 4:28
12th?
I hope I go 9:30 and 4:20.
2002 Yr 10 800 1:57.7 1500 4:05.2/4:23.1M 3000 not run
2003 Yr 11 800 1:56.0 1500 3:55.5/not run 3000 8:51.9
2004 Yr 12 800 1:53.5 1500 3:53.2/4:16.2M 3000 8:47.1
Put main effort into xc in 2004 and only raced a few times over 1500 (once over mile). 3k this year was with much older opposition and blew up early in the race (won in around 8:05). This years 3:53 was done whilst leading from the gun and falling back in final 150m, was still on for 3:48 at 1400m....maybe 2005.
Faster times to come in 2005 i am sure.
