Nah. Why would she? She might be in 2:27 shape now with a neg split, but the Trials are 4 months off. By then she could completely unravel and knows it, so it would be silly for her to assume she might have another fast one in her.

Deena is just a class act, plain and simple. Andrew is, too. We will not forget the fact that the two of them put in the track at Mammoth with a lot of hard work and time. This performance and all the good to her legacy is well earned. Congrats to both of them. Great work.

That puts her at #4 among current qualifiers with just a few seconds down to Cragg at #3. Incredible that she has come from so far back after her glory days when she ran 2:19. 2:27 is just a tough time to get even for men. For American women, it was obviously too hard for anyone else to do it at Chicago this year, and she is a masters woman. Tremendous.

With all the wind I am wondering if that wasn't worth 2:25 in good conditions. No one else seemed to PR, except Puskedra. Kiplagat was five minutes off her PR.

I think that Shalane, Desi and Deena would be a Dream Team for Rio.
