I just wanted to ask if you think that slow runners (say 45-50 min 10k) are usually faster on a track like elites or not. I had my first race today and I noticed that it was different, from a physical and mental point of view. Not sure if I'm faster on the road (I improved my time of april by 2 min but I was hoping for something more), I did a couple of workouts on track in the last months but I obviously never trained seriously.

going to assume you mean a flat 10k road course as point of comparison. If instead the road course is hilly, then, yes, anybody should be faster on track.
In principle track should be ideal, but in real world I think it takes time/practice to get the pacing down and to get your mind right for a grueling 25-lap race. I've only run one track 10,000, and I remember finding it disconcerting to push/push/push only to hear "ok, 19 laps to go.....". It seemed like forever, even though finish time was pretty good by my standards.
also depends on competition -- not many track 10,000's where you'd have a group to work with/compete with as would be typical of any sizable road 10k
