Not to mention 1-4 in STEEPLE, 2-4 in 10k....
And a 10k Gold and 1500 Silever on the women's side. Is Kenya on it's way to being the medal count winners?

I'm rooting for that to happen, that would really be something
neither of those were medal winner though....
US will certainly top the medal count not so sure about golds though
Triple Jump
Felix
Gatlin
Eaton
4 relays
Plenty of chances to catch up but Kenya still have Kiprop and a few others too.

TJ? :) Gatlin? 4 relays?
be honest with you...
Kenya still has M1500m and W800m with good chances at gold, and some other events with an outside chance. My guess is US still has about 5 golds to come.
They even took down the Javelin!
The medal table boat has already sailed for US.
If Kenya wins 2 out of 3 golds in the women's marathon, 800m and Men's 1500m, then they win overall. I also don't expect the US men to win either relay.
Kenya's dominant performance at these championships is hardly surprising. They've only just recently started doing weights.
And up until last year they were doing easy runs at 7:00 pace.

I think the USA will have the most medals AND the most golds when the meet is over.

Should be a nailbiter. 6-1 right now.
I think the US will feel safe getting:
2 relay golds
Felix gold
Women's hurdle gold
Decathlon gold?
That would even the score then the best chances are:
Kenya
M1500m
W800m
W Marathon
W 5000m (long shot)
USA
M110h
M200
Other relay gold
W LJ
M HJ (eh)
M TJ (eh)
What am I missing? Masters medals don't count, do they?

It is really hardly surprising. It only shows that pharmathletics became an utter joke. If you are from a corrupt, backward country, you can juice all year round.
caleb is gunning for mo in 5k

Keniano,
let me disagree.
The US will win the 4x100 men.
That is if they don''t do anything retarded- like Mike Rodgers crushing into Bromell in the first hand off or Bromell missing Gay because he (Gay) took off too fast before the second hand off.
Now, if they keep their wits around them, they (the Americans) will easily beat Jamaica.
Being the US, as the relays go, someone (a mrogi/ witchdoctor) bewitched them and died. That is the problem.
Of course i am kidding.
US will be fine.
I'm thinking the USA wins total medals, but doesn't have the most golds. Team USA left a LOT on the table.
Fair enough - that would register as very slightly above the w5000 chances

I've been really impressed by the performance of the Turkish male sprinters at these champs. Great to see them finally step out of the shadows of the Turkish female distance runners
Granted no Turks are running for them but......

Great counterpoint.
If they're imports then they most definitely will not be taking the same advantage of the freely available PEDs as the banned ethnic Turks did.... Like Abeylegesse.
