I take a can of V8 juice to work each day as part of my lunch. Easy way to get an extra veggie serving. Buy them by the case at Sam's or Costco.

Go Workin'! I hope the pasta was good for lunch. Don't worry about the guys who say you're eating too much -- if you can eat it, you probably need it. Personally, I buy pasta in the 1 lb boxes (rather than the larger economy packages). Then whenever I have pasta, I just cook the whole box. I find half for dinner and half for lunch works very well for me. I keep lots of jars of store-bought sauce on hand, so I never run out. Then if I'm too lazy to fry up some meat, I just toss in some veggies (green pepper and broccoli if I have it on hand, otherwise a can of peas and maybe a can of tuna for protein). Don't even need to heat up the sauce and veggies -- just pour it on the hot noodles and it's ready to go. Dinner and lunch taken care of in 15min (8min to boil the water, 7min to cook the pasta, since I'm impatient and like it al dente).
The best thing is that pasta, sauce, and cans of tuna, peas, olives, and so on keep indefinitely. So I can do a big stock-up sometime on the weekend. Because one thing I definitely agree on: after a morning run, a long day of work, and afternoon workout, if there's no food waiting for me in the kitchen, I'm picking up some fast food. Ain't no shopping after a day like that...
V8 is just salt water and little else--even the salt free stuff isn't worth a crap. Think about how processed the crap is before you drink it. Pepsi is less dangerous to ingest. Sure I know that salt water tastes really good--so doesn't chocolate milk. Lots of things taste good that is highly processed--but some of it, like V8, is really bad for ya stuff. Eat a donut--less junk and less sodium.
catman,
Why don't you quit posting and stuff?

Typical, your comments are getting old. Besides--read the sodium content of V8 if you think I am kidding. The salt free stuff taste more like water--but it still taste good--but what happened to all the vegetables? You don't know do you? That is what I thought. I reallly don't care what people eat and drink--or smoke, or inject. I just was kinda bored like you all are and thought I'd respond. To me it is interesting how much stuff out there we think is really healthy and good for us--but the reverse is true.
What comments? I hardly ever post and stuff.
