I know they were held on set for a very long time...not sure if that fouled up the athletes or the timing system or what.

thanks will look for replay.
I wondered about that too. Earlier in the meet there were some painfully long holds that in my opinion were the main reason for a few false starts. That starter needs(ed) to be replaced.
OH MY F#$((#$%ING GOD!

This has to be the worst starter who's ever done an international meet. My 4 year old would have done a better job.
Fantastic race for Kaylin Whitney beating the Jamaicans, though the time isn't that great due to the starter.
Nobody mentioned de Grasse "jogging" a legal 19.88 while training through the meet

Yes.
Starter is a joke. Did you see the men's 110h?

This stuff happens all the time when federation seniority or politics is involved in assigning officials.
You also see people who are crew chiefs in their own leagues getting assigned to jobs they never did before just to give them the trip or the honor of being on the bigger stage. A guy who was a head starter in his state gets a call to Nationals as a lane judge. With no practical experience they either ignore everything but the most blatant or call anything and everything they think might be a foul because they are afraid they'll miss something and look incompetent.
