Liz Costello got the tin medal
She was in the mix until Flores put the pedal down about 5 laps out.
Linden put the pedal down. Flores never led until the last 50 meters.
Awesome that Mexicans got 1-2... viva Desi!!

Florest didn't lead a step until the finishing straight. Linden and Costello pushed from 3k out, and Marchant really took it up over the last mile, trading the lead with Des repeatedly. Amazing race.
Good race by Desi. Also a good run by Marchant who showed heart with a last mile push. She is a tough runner who shows up well for big races, and always givers her best effort.

Her bib clearly had Davila as her name. Saw the last 4 laps on a bilingual Mexican TV cable station.

I've watches so many races recently that they are a blur but I think the lead pack picked up the pace because Flores was attempting to go to the front and the other women sped up to stay ahead. but I might be wrong.
