He and Galen Rupp also are the most tested athletes by USADA in this period.
So, really, what is he taking now?

When you have journalist doping themselves and proving they don't test positive the options are endless for athletes making 6 and 7 figure incomes. My thoughts on doping has changed drastically after Salazar was rubbing 5 dosages of testosterone cream on his son and it still wouldn't trigger a positive.
Every athlete needs to have their own limits set based on original ratios in their teens and early 20's...If someone like Gatlin is producing more T or whatever at 33 he is doing something dirty and should be banned.
Maybe he's clean?
Hahahahah!
Lots of athletes have admitted to doping despite never testing positive. Nike's doping program went to some trouble to dope within the rules. It's not a requirement that a case be opened on each and every positive. And the IAAF isn't particularly interested in sanctioning dopers. There's no money to be made catching dopers.
If anyone besides Alberto Salazar read the IAAF's rules they'd find there is lots of room for doping.

In Gatlin's case, some of his test have come very early in the morning and late at night. Gatlin was tested once at an airport as soon as he arrived in Europe. There were other athletes on the flight with him and he was the only one tested. WADA and USADA are going out of their way to keep him in check, but he brought this level of scrutiny upon himself. Btw, testing does work, just ask any of the athletes who have been busted. The important thing needed to catch micro-dopers is to get them within that 24 hour window when the dope is still detectable and to let them know they can be tested at anytime. Unfortunately, very few other countries have the resources or desire to test as frequently as USADA. This type of testing and more specifically OOC testing is pretty much a scam in African and Caribbean countries.
If "testing works", Only the 1.1% of the athletes are doped?
"...In comparison to 2013, officials analyzed about 15,000 more urine and blood samples last year. Adverse findings dropped from 1.3% to 1.1%..."
http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-latest-anti-doping-data-20150722-story.htmlAnd during that same period, Rupp was tested 87 times. That's almost half again as much as Gatlin. Who says the USADA isn't suspicious of Rupp?
In 2013, Rupp was tested 28 times, twice as many times as Gatlin. Only one other athlete, the boxer Floyd Mayweather, was tested as often as Rupp that year.
I guess that says something about how seriously the USADA took Goucher & Magness!
You can see for yourself:
If you don't think all the big name bodies are in on it, you're a fool.
Besides, what are they going to catch Gatlin for??
Undetectables, undetectables...
By the time they can actually find out what he's on, it won't matter cuz statute of limitations. haha like they would just suddenly declare El G's sample ridden with EPO?
WAKE UP

WAKE UP
What I especially like is how most fans are sure that doping is either something a few bad apples are doing, or something everyone except their favorite runners are doing.
It's interesting how some people seem to get a pass. Look at the discussion about the Americans at Monaco. It's all about whether Rowbury is doping. Nobody seems to think Simpson could possibly be doping.

Was it actual testosterone or was it testosterone cream?

gotta be some kind of stimulant, and everyone else is on it too. Sprints are insane this year.
It would make sense, the way they've been searching for a replacement for ephedrine all these years.
State of the art thermal polygraphs.....
Why never considered?
And meanwhile, Serena Williams has only been tested 23 times since 2003. A farce. USADA spends it resources testing nobodies while the more obvious dopers get tested lightly. A joke. USADA are a bunch of hypocrites.

Testosterone doesn't necessarily work like that. If you keep your endocrine system (testes) healthy and have a prolonged break from intense training its possible, maybe, to have higher testosterone levels naturally at 33-34 than at 20. But its unlikely that someone would have higher levels in their mid 30's than their mid 20's unless something was wrong with them in their mid-20's or they weren't working out at all.
Did Justin Gatlin find the fountain of youth by taking a break during peak age? Possibly. Is his form and technique impeccable? Perhaps. Is this the fastest he'll ever be? Probably. But don't be surprised when he's 38 in Tokyo and still running high 9.8 or low 9.9 and he passes every test until then.

What you fail to understand is it's the tennis federation ordering the tests, In some cases maybe a game promoter. Usada acts at the direction of sports federations and the occasional event promoter.
I'd like to point out that we're talking less than 1 test a month for Gatlin. Good thing IAAF is serious about anti-doping.
They need to start testing him two and three days in a row. Simple math shows if he is tested there is then a set interval before he is tested again. What if he uses the aftermath of the tests as a sign that it's now okay to dose?
gatlin and elfie rupp need to be tested thousands of times a year
Thanks for clearing that up. So, USATF wants to grow the sport and it decides that the best strategy is to "clean" up the sport by testing a lot. (To be honest, I don't think they are testing in excess I just want to show the comparison to other sports, i.e Tennis). Talk about not knowing how to grow the sport. LOL. Tennis has the right idea. Don't test your star players. Sarcasm.
A lot of misunderstandings here,
Gatlin has been tested 59 times by USADA. The total number of tests is likely much higher because USADA's jurisdiction is limited to the USA.
When he is competing outside the country, he is being tested by the local NADA (if there is one ).
All these tests aren't going to show up in USADA's count. He can also be tested by WADA & IAAF independantly.
This is worrying because it means that, if dirty, he can pass them without problems.
The same goes for S. Williams. As a pro tennis player, she is overseas 90% of the year. I think that she lives in France part of the year.
When in France, if she is going to be tested, it will be by AFLD (at the request of ITF or not), in Britain, by UKAD.
a NADA can test any athlete within their territory, whatever his nationality. A pro tennis player isn't going to show up a lot in tne total
count unless he lives permanently in the country.
Ah the number game. Throw a number out there and make it represent a meaning without full details. I hate the number of journalist that do that. 15,000 more samples but they don't say if that's new and different people or just testing the same people more often. It's like the golden retriever stat. There are more cases of a golden retiree dog bit then any other breed. There are also a lot more of the breed in homes. The statistic is pointless but persieved as having meaning.
