That's super impressive and was unexpected; it is rare that a U.S. athlete can win an event over 400m at the WYC or WJrC. It is a shame that our boys will never get this type of opportunity because the African WYC participants tend to be in their mid-20s, whereas the girls are usually no more than a year or 2 overage.
Anyone have video yet?

Okay brother,
I don't see the logic.
If we can send old boys (men) who are in their twenties, surely, we can also send women in their twenties.
I don't think it is complicated. We do have 26 year old women.

The boys (men) tend to athletes training in a pro group, who don't quite have the results to get a pro contract. Their ages will be backdated so that they can compete in WYC or WJrs. The girls on the other hand come from the high school championships. Although the girls can sometimes be a few years overage as well, but at least they are training in a pro group with Olympians. Three things: 1. it is much easier to approximate a female's age based on a number of physiological factors. 2. Teenage African females will not leave home to train in a pro group. 3. African female are married and have children long before their mid-20s, unless of course they have noteworthy performances as a teen.
