This article is ridiculous. Alberto is a legend in the running community and shouldn't be treated this way. Believe me when I say that no one -- NO ONE -- has done more for American distance running than Alberto Salazar. Period. It's a shame that the media is trying to discredit him.

It appears that no one in the media and no one on this board knows the real Alberto. The real Alberto believes in fair play above all and would likewise never do anything to compromise the health of a runner. The BBC, ProPublica, and Daily Mail are leading a smear campaign against Alberto based on utter falsehoods, misinformation, and the testimony of liars. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I have no doubt that Alberto's name will soon be cleared. He has the facts on his side, as well as the power of prayer. As well as th fact that none of his athletes have ever tested positive for a banned substance, which seems to have been conveniently forgotten by the LRC community.

Why do the BroJos, amongst others, harbor so much hatred for Alberto and the NOP? One simple word: Jealousy. That's what it comes down to.

Well I for one am HAPPY and PROUD of what Alberto's accomplished. I guess I can't relate to your guys' INSECURITY. Maybe you should all look in the mirror before defaming Alberto.

Confronting somebody at their own home is just wrong. I don't care what the circumstances may be. Ridiculous. If somebody harassed my family, I'd be waiting with a baseball bat or a 12-gauge...

This is stunt journalism of the sort Michael Moore perfected. The reporter knows he's not going to get anything of substance by showing up unannounced at the subject's house. He's just going to get a story that makes it look like the subject has something to hide.

The reporter (and Moore, for that matter) would not appreciate someone doing the same thing to him.

Why must I respond to each charge individually when the fact remains that NO EVIDENCE exists to support these (slanderous) allegations? Rupp is the most tested athlete in all of American track and field BY FAR and you don't hear Alberto complaining about that. Because Alberto has nothing to hide. Do you think he would've invited Ken Goe of the Oregonian out to visit their camp at Park City earlier this year if he was running a doping program? Of course he wouldn't, you dolt.

The Nike Oregon Project is a fine, noble institution. When the truth comes out about the liars who are leveling these baseless accusations against Alberto, you will all feel sorry that you ever even thought to criticize him. Again, he's done more for American distance running than anyone in history, and yet some people want to hate on him, undoubtedly because they are jealous of Oregon's athletic success.

No, he's had anger issues all his life, which he's acknowledged in two books.

And he is overly blunt / direct like many people from Boston or New York, or even LA. He works on getting better all the time, like most of us conditioning from ones early life is a moment by moment thing to understand.

Additionally one of his friends told me that he likes achievement, and hates bring famous or a public figure.

Can't blame him, fame in this country can be creepy, and a bunch of low class journalists showing up at your house is fcked up.

I'm assuming a lot of you haven't watched the BBC documentary? There was enough evidence in that to sink the NOP ship, let alone what's been revealed since. How many stories that have started like this have proved to be innocent? Armstrong? Hamilton? Gay? Gatlin? Johnson?

How far do you want to go back? The idea that 17 people have got together and concocted a story (let alone gone to WADA) with their concerns is nuts. If Salazar and co. were innocent they'd have published their medical records the next day and sent out a firm message, they are scraping around for excuses.
