Wondering what you guys think, since it seems like sprinters seem to have advantages in many ways
1) Substitutions allow for recovery, so you can go all out then rest.
2) Sprinters have more explosiveness, which means higher jumping for basketball/soccer/ultimate frisbee
3) Sprinters are generally more muscular & heavier, which is useful in physical sports e.g. rugby, hockey
4) Being able to sprint really fast creates much better opportunities, (e.g. breakaways in soccer)
Are there any team sports where distance runners would have an advantage over sprinters?
