As the title indicates, I'm 17, and I've done several marathons and have a 50 mile ultra in July and an Ironman in August
Some say it's a terrible idea. Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone do marathons/ultras/Ironman as a minor?

What has been the effect on your XC and Track results? If you're top 5 at State Meet, I'd say keep at it as it's working.
I forgot to mention, I do not run for my school or any other team. In my opinion, half marathon and up is my best distance
Usually people like to stick to shorter distances as teens and through their 30's but leave marathons and ultras for their 40s and on. I'd say do as you please, but just know that now is your prime for track running and shorter distances. Soon the only thing you will be ABLE to do is marathons and ultras.
