I'll jump in.
43 mile bike. 35 minute run afterwards.
Started off in the 70's and finished in the 80's. Very hilly route.
Have a half-ironman in 4 weeks.
Telling me those temps is like a punch in the gut. Sounds great.
1st ride in a while. Beautiful day - 80 degrees and a solid breeze. 22 miles with a good 600 foot climb @ about mile 5. In a bit over my head and I wanted to cry. Nonetheless, a fun ride. Need to get out more often. Cheers.

Timberman?
33 mile bike yesterday for me. 8 mile run today with a tempo run in the middle. Legs were a bit fried.
Finished the 162 mile ride across Indiana in a little under 12 hours. This was with stops, small bike issues, and getting stuck behind detour car traffic. One of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Just tried to focus on getting from one stop to another, and joining pace lines helped greatly. I think my strong running foundation and proper fueling really put me through. Definitely want to do it next year, and actually put in some solid training for it.
MidwestXC, congrats on what sounds like a nice ride.
This morning I knocked out twenty on a cloudy windy day. A huge storm is rolling in now so I'm glad we knocked out the ride early. Lots of bikers out today. Great ride after taking Sunday off.
First real rest day since Clavicle surgery. Finished up 85 hours in 4 weeks and a few days; 64 of those hours were outside. Pretty tired but it was worth it, especially considering a few of those weeks were in an altitude tent at night. Next appointment is this Friday. Hopefully the doctor gives me the clearance to actually be smartly riding outside, as I'll be doing a stage race at the end of August.
Had a somewhat unusual ride tonight. Everything was fine until 17 miles in when I started getting bad stomach cramps. Long story short I busted my ass to get back to car and drive home to spend an hour on the toilet. Something I ate didn't agree or all the stress with moving. I guess guys out training have had to find woods or restrooms. Not fun.
Winged up,How did the Dr. appointment go? Another good ride for me,28.3 miles.
Nice to see some of you are still at it. 2 days off this week due to weather and a fall=bike in shop 1 day. Bike got the worst of it. Ride tomorrow will put me slightly over 200. Still sore from the fall but ok to ride. Looking forward to riding with some friends on Sunday morning and then to a Latin Jazz concert in the afternoon.
Enjoy the weekend!
Back on the bike after a stressful week of moving. Only moved 15 miles but a move is a move. I can now bike out of my garage and be out on the road which is great after having to put bike in car then drive to bike.
20 miles tonight. 93 degrees but the sun was low. Hot humid summer in the south.
Four rides so far this week. Did my fast ride this morning at daybreak and will do another ride this afternoon. Back up to 100 plus miles a week.

Just happened to see this today. I thought this thread was dead. Good for you.
Still going over 200/week but legs not responding. Will ride the season, take time off and then go back to running in the late fall/early winter.
Tomorrow is a local club ride but I will probably not be able to keep up. Oh what a difference a year makes...
Keep those legs moving!

u.s pro challenge? did u do Utah ?
Had a great late afternoon ride today. With highs only in the low 80s it's a real treat for those in the south.

Garmin showed an average temperature of 59 for my race this morning. Refreshing after weeks of rides in the 90s.
Been meaning to post about my commute on Friday. No big deal I know, but I don't ride much (maybe 3-4 times a month @ 20-30 miles a go) and it is a haul to and from work. 68 miles total with about 4000' of climbing. Finally pulled the trigger and did it on a very hot day. Ride in was no problem, but I made a 2 mile wrong turn and ended up at 36 miles for the morning session. Afternoon ride home was in 95 degree heat and a decent wind, along with some substantial climbing. Suffice it to say, I wanted to tap out around mile 60, gutted it home and found some new respect for cyclists who go this far frequently. Just a tick shy of 70 miles total and 4 + hours in the saddle. I will do it again, but not anytime soon. Cheers everyone.
Glad to see this thread didn't die.O.K,did what everyone said would happen sooner or later.was riding along at a good clip when a traffic light changed to red.Put on the brakes and didn't unclip fast enough. At first felt like a retard, checked my frame and saw two small cracks on the right seat stay.Has anyone had experience with Performance bike shop return policy? It states:If you are not satisfied for any reason we will refund the full amount paid.I know it was totally my fault for the damage, but thought tipping over at 0 mph was a bit unusual to crack the frame.Bike is a Kestrel R.T.1000.
Feel much better today.Took my bike to Cycle Therapy in Orange and the total cost to repair, paint and labor only $150.00.
