I don't understand why any of this makes any of you care one way or the other. I don't think he deserves to be ridiculed or praised. He is what he is, so whatever either way.
Apparently a lot of people (and more than we thought initially) have this issue, so while I still don't think praise is in order, the fact that he is a very public person who is very public about this has probably made it easier for some to decide to go further with their own transition or feel more comfortable talking about it...and that's a good thing. We all have issues in life, and I sure don't want someone suffering in a personal hell.
Whatever someone wants to do with their own body, more power to them...tattoos, piercings, modification in any way, go for it if that's what you like. I'm not into any of that, but whatever.
As my wife said, he probably waited a bit too long to do this...I mean, he (she) IS 65 years old now. How hot can she look?
