No wonder this guy could beat Rupp (and all the others) at 5k yesterday, he is the best "youth" runner of all-time. Check out his IAAF profile:

Not a lot of results, but he won the World Youth Championships at 3000m at age 15 in 7:53. 7:53 is a pretty good time for a 15-year-old. I was just running around 8:12 when I was a freshman.
Then before winning last year's World Junior Championships at 5000m, he ran 28:13 at age 16 on the road. This is excellent for a 16-year-old (again I could only run 29:25 when I was 16). He continued with strong indoor running with a 4:57 2k and 7:42 3k (at age 16), again not too bad (some people take until age 18 to break 5:00 and 8:00). He continued his strong running last Summer with a 7:36 PR at 3000m at age 16. I know the WJR is faster than this, but this kind of performance is unbelievable at this age. If he can run this at age 16 he should be the first man to run under 7:00-flat for 3000m, and eventually under 26:00 for 10k.
I was only running 8:04 when I was a sophomore.
Then he topped his year off with a World Junior Champs win at 5000m in 13:25 at age 16, with a 4:10 last 1600m.
The best part is this Wunderkind will still be eligible for the 2016 World Junior Championships in Kazan, and eligible to set WJRs for this season and next!! Maybe he can set some records while running away with the Championships!?!
