I'm two weeks out from my HM debut. No recent race results at all (sorry, I know that makes things more difficult). Ran a recent workout of 3x2 miles at 6:35 pace, with 2:30 of jogging in between. Felt good. Not easy, but I wasn't dying at the end.
Two questions:
1) Is this a decent HM predictor workout?
2) If so, what does it tell me about my fitness?
Other context:
-Been running 35ish mpw for the past few months. Nothing too structured. Try to do a couple fast runs each week, plus something longer (10-14 miles).
-I feel like I'm capable of something between 1:25 and 1:30, but I'm not sure what pace to go out at. There are pace groups for both 1:25 and 1:30.
