Lebron James is so incredible it is beyond belief. Just turn on ESPN and watch. After 1 year in the league, he is already dominating like he did in high school. He might have been top 10-15 last year, but he has surpassed everyone else in the first few games this year.

Kevin Garnett is the only player I would put even with Lebron at this point. Just as Jordan dominated his era, Magic and Bird shared the previous era, and Dr. J before them, Lebron has already risen to the top.

I concur with the nomination of both Steve Nash and Jason Kidd. Theres a whole lot more to basketball than merely runnning and dunking. Both of these guys ar amazing leaders who make maximize there team mates potential. At this point the best player in the world though is Tim Duncan. I think the championships and his recent Olympic performance show this. On any given night Shaq can be the best player in world, he defiantely was a few years ago, but lately motivation and fitness has been an issue.

I don't think Lebron is the best in the world, but talking about only one 40 point game doesn't have anything to do with how good he is. Just like Garnett, Lebron is a good all-around player, he doesn't need to score 40 points to have an awesome game.
