Huh???
Pacific Association Cross Country Championship results anyone? The race was held today in San Francisco, CA. It was six miles in Golden Gate Park. There I spelled it out a bit better. Now anyone see the race or know any of the results?
Riley in about 31:20 for legit 6.4.
womens winner?
That's a start, anyone else?
6.4, ouch that sucks. Hope you could see the difference before the race started and didn't claim that was 6 miles.
Pretty sure: 1. Chandler, 2. Daly, 3. Tanner
Team results:
Men:
Farm Team
Asics Aggies
Adidas Transports
West Valley Track Club
Empire?
Women:
Farm Team
Impalas
*unofficially See Jane Run (So Cal) raced the FT very close (maybe 5 pts apart)
Masters:
Excelsior
It was NOT 6.4 miles. Was it just 6.0 miles or a full 10K?
Consensus seemed to be that it was somewhere around 600 meters from the 6 mile mark to the finish. I came through the six mile mark in ~36:00 and ran ~2:30 for the remaining part which included a short, steep uphill. Make what you want of that.
Congrats to Hinderloppet. You beat up on all those poor older gentlemen, ha. Keep it up. Are those results right? You won the masters race by 1:11? Ouch.
The women's race (according to the official who measured and marked the course) was 4.33 miles.
Don't know about the men's. They had to alter the normal course quite a bit because they had just reseeded the grass on the field where it usually starts. It's very possible the men's course wasn't exactly 10k.
I remember the course used to be 3 loops, plus a little bit extra after that, because each loop was slightly less than 2 miles. I don't think you could go 600m further from the finish without getting out of the grassy area. Probably, the 6 mile split was too early.
From what I understand it's a completly different course, like the person posted above because the reseeding of that big grassy area where they normally start and finish.
It was a different course and it was longer than 10k. You can see it here:
Men course was 6.4 miles
Womens course was 4.33 miles

I love people like this (and there's a lot of them on this board). Just open their mouth without thinking there's a possibility of themselves being wrong.
Whenever I hear these people rant on here I think about Don Vito getting all worked up over his shitty life and how miserable he is.
Keep it up puss-bags. You all seem to have something real important to contribute to this board.
the big boss,
I can tell by your tone that you have some personal anger issues to work out. Or maybe you ran the race yesterday, and how dare someone dispute the length of course and the legitimacy of your time. No need to get all pissy because someone posts something you don't like to hear. I never said there was no possibility of me being wrong, I just stated my opinion on the course. I looked at the reults and saw that the quality of the field was well below that of last year's field, and the times seemed a little quick for a 6.4 mile course, especially given that the course is moderately difficult.
Its just so funny how from my very brief post, you could determine that I live a crappy and miserbale life. Actually, my life is quite happy, I'm having a very nice Monday so far, following a pretty good weekend. You, on the other hand, seem to have something really important bothering you right now, or else you wouldn't be so quick to snap at another poster for something so minor.
Hey Janerunsfast, good job this weekend, your team ran well (assuming you are on the team).
You girls are hot too.
