cool story fam
This looks legit, but enough with the solo beer mile attempts. Must be more than one competitor, or your just Kim Jong Un playing a around of golf.
He clearly was not drinking all of the beer from each bottle. When he throws the last one on the grass you can see some spill out. Nice try though.

The bottles are a little bit see-through and it looks to me like it's just foam. In my opinion, that's ok.
Impressive run, but this shouldn't count as the WR.
He clearly cheats on the last beer. He doesn't hold it all the way over his head, then when he tosses the bottle, there is clearly still beer flying out of it.
James Nielsen is still the record holder in my eyes.
If they ratified Nielsen they HAVE to ratify this...
Neilsen puts like 25 yards on him on the first beer with his 4 second chug...at least this guy is like inhaling to catch his breath and there is a sign of difficulty with the chugging.
congrats on the new world record and glad that its finally gone from that cheat Nielsen.
Just a matter of time before the beer mile WR is faster than my mile PR. That will make me sad.
The splits were something like..
1st beer and lap: 9, 61
2nd: 13, 64
3rd: 11, 66
4th: 12, 60
Very impressive.

Yeah, that last one looked a bit suspect. Nice run though.
The solo runs almost seem a necessity, especially if the attempt is going to be on a track. Otherwise it seems locations aren't so hep on the event. Also the congestion from a group run would certainly slow someone down a bit.
The race between Nielsen and Hansen has to happen. Like the Mile of the Century, 'cept with beer...with the first two under 5.
That would make great TV. You could probably get a beer company to sponsor / televise the race.
Even though Hansen cheated on that last beer my money is still on him -- he is clearly the faster runner.
Nielsen was huffing and puffing like a Yedi and almost needed to be carried off of the track, while Hansen looked like he could keep going another few laps.
Nielson no showed last year. His looked fake. Corey Gallagher vs. this Aussie, vs. Josh Harris would be entertaining. Nielson would be great to have, if he shows.
He's flying all the best to race in SF this summer...
So you mean to tell me he ran 4:11 WITH the beer drinking? yeah RIGHT!!!
Apparently he's a 3:41 guy.
Look, there's usually some foam left over in the can/bottle when you chug like that. You're never going to get rid of it all. However, the only thing that might keep this run/chug from getting recognized is that there was definite spilling when 2 of the bottles hit the ground..and that's combined with not pouring it over his head. It's an impressive effort, nonetheless.

Too much beer left in the the third and fourth beer. You can see beer coming out of both bottles.
I am nobody but I do not recognize this as the record.
Should be a rules when going for a sub 5:15 time.
Must hand the bottle or can to a race official before starting the next lap.
***No throwing the can or bottle***
The race official then pours the beer into a clear cup (say a cup like you get on the airplane) while the runner runs the lap. The runner must finish the cup and fourth beer before running the next lap.
After the third lap, the runner must consume all the contents in the cup and fourth beer. If the race official pours more than 3 ozs into the cup after the runner leaves after his fourth beer, the result is not official.

This is a good rule.
That said, I think he deserves the record. There's things to nitpick with both athlete's attempts and I think at the end of the day, they chugged four beers and burned four laps. An ounce or two here, the can/bottle angle, position of starting/finishing... come on. They did what matters. Run fast and consume four bee-ahs!
