Bad for health? With all that sugar I don't know if anything else in the drink could be worse for health. If you limited your liquid intake to mostly water and had some sips of monster during your workout then maybe the sugar wouldn't be an issue. Sugars are more effective for shorter term energy, for if you are racing 5k or less. Caffeine may boost performance, but may cause chest pain if too high a dose is taken before a race.
The L Carnatine? I'm guessing it doesn't do much different unless you don't currently get much in your diet.
I tried an energy drink before a 400m and improved my performance by a second. Didn't take it after that and the time I did was my PR for the season. The drink I had was Bawls energy though, its made with guarna berry which is a caffeine source.
