Clayton Murphy of Akron is really impressing me. Only a sophomore with what appears to be little experience in the 800m. His closing speed is hard to miss.

Flotrack calculates Duck Men need only 11 pts in the 3,000 to clinch...
DQ????????
who was it? I head the DQ but not the name

DQ????????
You're kidding me. Did they just DQsomeone in the 3000?
Give me a break. Remind me of my freshman year in HS.
I false started in a 3000. they were going to throw me out and the coach walked up to the official and said, "Don't dq. it's not like h'es going to do anything anyway."
He was right. It was my only 3000 in HS (always injured) and i got lapped.
Women's 3000 has started. I really hope Scott gets it. A great way for the Hogs to win their first title.
guys, i can't watch the rest of this. Scott is too hot!!!

Is ESPN down?
Looked like a Baylor girl on the inside of the track crying. I think that would make it Maggie Montoya, going by the startlist
They way these tv peole do the tv score baffles me. show the real score and the projected score. Whenever I was coaching, i had the spreadsheet updating live. It's not hard to do.
3k - it's pretty amazing that scott had never made nCAAs before last year. She is so good.
Memo to everyone who wants to know why track and field isn't more popular.
It's hard to keep score.
Arkansas just clinched the team title - it's first ever team title and the fans haven't been told that.
That's why if the NCAA wants to focus on team scores, they MUST use projected scores going forward. What a shame.
Can you imagine not knowing when your team won an NCAA title in any other sport? They should have announced it before the 3k!!!
This reminds me of an NCAA outdoor meet in Iowa. I sat there for 10 minutes after it was over and didn't know who won. 5 70 year old fans sitting next to me who were old HS coaches just gave up and left.
This is going to be lame. The Oregon Kenyan/transfers are going to score over 25. Goodnight all!
Oregon ...One, Two, Third,...possibly four??????
I suspect Chez had to lobby a bit to get coach RJ to let him run it.
Chez was provisional, only if needed the points, suspect they could score 11 pts. without Chez....
Who is down ?
who is the female runner on the track/hurt? Being carried off?

It was Montoya. She grew up in Northwest Arkansas; that's why you heard the boos after she was DQed.
This is actually the opposite of lame - a team of distance runners cleaning up at Nats.
Now what's really lame is that I'm "watching" the National Championships on this thread because I can't get it online. Yesterday, when I tried to watch it on TV I scrolled through hundreds of channels; HS basketball games, revenge of the nerds reality TV shows, shopping channels but no T&F. That, George, is the definition of lame.
It was a Florida girl trying to delay the 3k so that the Oregon guys would get thrown off their game.

Talking to her. So she is conscious."
So that's good news. She is conscious.
She got a standing ovation.
But seriously, these announcers are so bad that they can't even tell us who gets disqualified and who's laying down on the track for 10 minutes being attended to by the medical staff. We need to start getting professional commentators for these meets, not just guys that know something about track. Even the worst ESPN football announcers would do better than these guys without even knowing anything about track.
running as an Oregon duck almost ended my Career - My NCAA Story
Iga Swiatek signs with On Running , making her the worlds highest paid women athlete
The term Goat only applies to 3 people Ali, Jordan and Brady
What if the NAU dynasty never got started? Should we re-name Syracuse as Marathon U?
what are the types of schools that I would receive interest from if I run 4:18, 9:22, 1:57
