Edward Cheserek is in this country legally. He left his family and came here as a minor, got his high school diploma and is attending college. He appreciates the opportunities this country has given him and is trying to legally become a citizen and represent his new country, a country of immigrants. If he then goes on to win a gold medal, great! At that point he will be just as American as Alberto Salazar, who was born in Cuba or Steve Prefontaine, whose mother was born in Germany.
People can legally move to this country and become citizens. Get over it.
