Was the marathon really cancelled? I went to their website and no mention of it. The last cancelled Dallas marathon according to search is from 2013.
They had to cancel the marathon. No way could they run a marathon now on the roads in Fort Worth.

No word yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it get canceled. People around these parts look for any reason to cancel things.
why don't you guys move your marathons to april? A little heat is better than everything being cancelled isn't it?
The forecast is calling for SNOW in Dallas tomorrow, so for the third straight day, EVERYTHING IS CANCELLED!!!

You are so f u c k ed up. There's never been an NCAA Natl Champ in DI-A football, not in over 100 years of college football play.
Maybe I'm just bad at reading, but I don't see where he calls it the NCAA National Championship.

Do you live in Dallas? If not, you don't know what its like to have YOUR WHOLE LIFE CANCELLED due to winter weather. So I WILL NOT TAKE IT EASY!
EVERYTHING IS CANCELED!!!
I live in Raleigh, NC. We have maybe had an inch of snow in the last week. Schools have been cancelled for 5 days and they're cancelled again tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the roads in NE are as icy as ours are right now for the duration of winter.

Well isn't that fan-dandy-tastic.
Here's what you can do. Invest all of your money and start a privately owed salt/ice truck service in Dallas. Slowly over time amass a fleet of 500 sand trucks and keep Dallas free and clear of ice year round. DO IT OR SHUT YOUR GOD DAMNED PIE HOLE!!!

I'll bet they haven't cancelled your big fat flapping lips yet.
Okay, I'm officially sick of this. This is day 3 of having to hit the treadmill, which I hate. Not to mention how it's screwing up work and traffic. I'm starting to think a move to Florida or Arizona is looking pretty good. The winters in Texas are too much for me. I never want to see ice or snow again. I'm tired of having winter weather dictate my whole life.

No wonder Texans suck at events longer than the mile. Can't even run on a treadmill for a few days.

There is also the "18 year-old" that ran 3:28.8 last year.

And the complete lack of altitude everywhere except the few 100 people towns in west texas that reach about 3000 ft

Places like Michigan and Missouri have produced better distance runners with a much smaller population and no altitude.
