What a farce of a storm for the NYC area. The whole area shut down, money lost and lives disrupted for a storm that barely threw down a few inches.

It's not done yet.
Worcester MA may get 40 inches

They'll hardly blink at that snowfall.
I work near Worcester and my company closed down for the 2nd time in 25 years. Pretty sure they're blinking right now.
Living in Boston and it's close to a whiteout right now. I might try to run this afternoon, but it's not looking promising.
When the snow stopped falling in the Blizzard of '78, I along with a couple of other runners ran on the Southeast Expressway.

I remember that blizzard with great fondness. Cool story.
I'll be heading out around 11:30...either Fresh Pond or the middle of the street. Leaning towards Fresh Pond so I don't disrupt the plows.
yeah, huh? the beauty of youth....let it snow. One of the other runners was Jocko Connelly, the sports writer for the Herald. He lived in Dorchester and we met up on the expressway. All of us running in the MIDDLE of the road....it was great!!!
Not too many runners where I live now. Just Hubby and i will go out for a run soon.
The other runners Amby and co. live about an hour away so no gathering for a run on 95 or 395 or 295 or 32 for that matter. Just a small side road..that will be unplowed for awhile.

So get a salary job.
I did that for a long time: less than $30k/yr for more than 3k(hrs)/yr as a college coach.
Even being "semi-retired" (i.e. working about half the year, as a temp) now pays better than that. I just wish that working today were possible.
No snow anywhere to be seen. Liberal New Yorkers are such sissies. Get back to work.
I remember once doing a workout in the snow, 2 feet. Was I complaining? No.
It's damn "blizzardy" in Boston right now. I live in Watertown. The wind can make it close to a whiteout. I can barely see across my street. Looks like a treadmill day for me.

Could you not afford a roof on your dungeon of a workout facility?

1. If you only went two feet, it couldn't have been much of a workout. I understand the whole quality-versus-quantity thing, but that's just ridiculous.
2. How did you manage to find a route that went uphill, both ways?
Do any NYC runners know if the bike path on the Westside Highway is clear?
It will be 74 and sunny in LA, so HA HA HA

They only seem to clear the bike path in patches. It's a shame, it's a beautiful afternoon.
