Starting running two weeks after cross country season ended (PR 18:49). I wanted to do well for the track season and I wanted to try to make the state meet next year, so I figured if I worked hard during the winter then I would build an aerobic base sooner and have more time to train. Anyways here's my weekly mileage for the past two months.
Week 1: 13.16 miles
Week 2: 16.40 miles
Week 3: 24.90 miles
Week 4: 24.23 miles
Week 5: 30.21 miles
Week 6: 30.07 miles
(around the next week is when ankle issues persisted)
Week 7: 26.18 miles
(still hurt so I dropped off my mileage a little in order to let it heal)
Week 8: 14.25 miles
Week 9: 23.36 miles
So far this week I have taken two days off due to consistent issues with my right knee (Side Note: haven't ever had a sports injury). Its been my first cross country season since I started running (I'm in 11th), and I really want to see how far I can push myself and achieve a goal, but I don't want to get injured or anything. My question is that is my winter mileage alright because I feel like its not good at all?
