Hey OP here.
Say he breaks the record and runs a 7:57 two mile. Thats at LEAST worth a 7:18.99 3000m. And hes exactly 12 seconds from that.
How can he achieve this within a year? EPO TO THE RESCUE!!!
7:20's worth more like 7:55 2M, so sub 8 is not quite as hard as it seems. Craig Mottram, a 3:49/12:55(?) runner, ran 8:03 at Pre ahead of Teg's 8:07 years back. A 3:29 guy just emerging on the scene, with a junior world xc championship at probably 19, is going to challenge mid 7:20 3k in his career, maybe do better. He didn't get after it in a well-paced 3k or 5k.
You probably need something like 12:45 to do it. Ndiku is nowhere close.
Mottram was in 12:50 shape when running 8:03 (not the same season as when ran 12:55 (?)).

I don't know about times but I'm predicting a WC gold medal at 5000m.

Which part?
There's no point in looking at his past times here. To anyone's knowledge he has never actually attempted a WR time in a paced race. He did, however, win every major regional and global title that it was possible to win in 2014: Commonwealth: GOLD, World Indoor Championships: GOLD, African Championships: GOLD, Continental Cup: GOLD. And he won the Diamond League title. And if he faced Mo Farah in any of these races, he would've beaten him. The only reason I'm using the word "would've" is that Mo is avoiding any real competition. Bottom line: PEDs or not, WRs or not, he's the best in the world in the 3000m/5000m, and he will be the man to beat in 2015/6. Not Mo Farah.
this guy is the next daniel komen. Let him dream. However much he has age cheated, he still has talent like very few others in the world have.
You people are so dumb. Why can't a 17 yr old beat 19 yr olds? Plenty of high school seniors and college freshman can beat college seniors. Plenty of 20yr old Africans can beat 28+ yr old Africans. Didn't Ritz himself place 3rd in world junior xc? Didn't Mary Cain just win world junior 3k as an 18 yr old?
if he is 22 than I am 13

You probably are because you seem to be new to the world of athletics(Track and Field as you like to call it). If you did a little research, you would realize that way, way younger athletes have won world titles than a 17yr old. In 1991, a 13 yr old won world junior cross country title! And of course she beat everyone from 15yr olds to 19yr olds. In the following year(1992), she ran 31'41" (aged 14) and 2 yrs earlier(12yrs old) she ran 33'20" for 10,000m. I am sure even if you are 18 yrs, you are "incapable" to run 33' in 10K. Just understand that there are some gifted runners out there. Lydiah Cheromei, the athlete I just mentioned still competes today.
Caleb Ndiku initially concentrated in 1500m/mile, and just moved to the longer distances. To mention his PR at the this time as a measure of his capability is simply very inaccurate. Give him another two years then you can tell what he is capable of in both 3000m and 5000m.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
