for those who train in flats or light shoes, how many miles do you run?
Up to 100 miles a week w up to 1200 miles on a pair of flats. I cannot wear a shoe with any arch support or it will start my PF flaring up badly.

a shoe isn't going to cure your Plantar fasciitis. Though I wouldn't recommend daily training in anything super light, racing, free kind of shoe.
Be diligent when it comes to rolling out. and no I don't mean stretching. stuff like firm rollers that really work your calves out it will make a big difference. If it's really bad think about support socks to wear while active and bracing at night.
Instead of worrying about a shoe, attack the issue head on
Don't listen to this guy. Shoes are most likely both the cause and cure of PF. Firm, flexible, and low-heeled running shoes will help it get better. Birks for walking. All the rolling/stretching/bracing/support socks stuff didn't make near the difference for me, as did wearing the right shoes for running and walking.

Third this. Kind of. I had PF for 10 months with no improvement. Started running barefoot, 20 mins a day on grass, cured within 2-3 weeks. And I tried strassburg sock, nigh splint, calf raises. Barefoot running on grass did the trick. And it's also not very painful during the actual run when you are barefoot.
Fourth this. Adidas adios flats are my daily shoes; hagios or takumi sens for speed work

50-70mpw. I get anywhere from 800 to 1200 miles per pair. I got 2200 miles on my first pair of adios bot that was probably around 400 too many
