Mongolia did conquer over half the world at one time so I would give the Mongolians some respect, they are a tough people.

some facts:

Mongolia has the population of Iowa, or a little more than Brooklyn: 3 million.

It has won a respectable 24 medals in the OG - all in the martial disciplines:

wrestling, Judo, boxing, Judo

US marathon runners are an absolute joke. It's almost comical how bad we are.

American marathoners are fine. We won 600,000 medals at the 'thon this year. At this rate more Americans will have successfully completed a mary than the entire population of Mongolia and have the hardware to prove it. How much better can you do than that?
