I would agree that they don't 'deserve' to be in the playoff. I'm not sure that is really the debate. My point is the SEC shouldn't get two teams in because they just plain aren't that good. Nor have they done anything to merit two teams in. Especially considering their lack of quality wins. BTW throwing Ohio St at me is pointless, I hate Ohio St and hope they lose every game until the end of time.
Michigan St isn't that great, Im not sure who brought them up. But put Michigan St against, say, Missouri or TAMU or LSU or Ole Miss or Auburn and they win. The point is if you look at the facts the SEC isn't "great top to bottom" like the SEC network needs you to believe for them to make money and get people to tune in on a saturday night to a Florida vs South Carolina game.
Ohio St lost one game the weekend after losing their Heisman trophy candidate QB, since then they have been dominant.
Wisco lost to LSU without their QB despite dominating most of the game. The Northwestern point is fair, they lost one that they shouldnt have.
What SHOULD happen based on a full season resume is FSU, Oregon, Alabama, and TCU or Baylor. Not another SEC or Big Ten team. My original point was that if they were to take the four BEST teams at the time of selection and ignoring early season losses, I think the Big Ten winner would be a tough out.
