, but whenever you hear the fastest ones debated, the names you hear first are usually Messi, Robben, Ronaldo, Bale, etc.
This is because those who debate are lazy and under-informed. The list above suggests that there is almost perfect correlation between speed and success in soccer. In reality though there are surely a few backup and second tier players who would beat Messi and Ronaldo in a sprint. And some of them are black, like that guy from Ghana whose name escapes me.
Unfortunately, the top 7 out of 10 fastest soccer players in the world are indeed white...

Unfortunately, no.
This website links Arjen Robben as the fastest soccer player in the World, when he allegedly reached 37 km/h, during the last World Cup against Spain.
This has already been debunked, Robben never ran faster than 32 km/h .
Here's the evidence with hard facts, from the FIFA match report:
http://resources.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/competition/02/37/03/94/eng_03_0613_esp-ned_ned_teamstatistics.pdfYour website is basically yet another "top 10 ranking" like thousands exists, listing ONLY established players, but with little evidence to back up these facts (you'll notice : no mention of when these measurements were taken).
In fact, the title of this topic is very debatable considering that during last World Cup (where REAL measurements were taken), the fastest soccer player was Junior Diaz, an unknown Costa Rican, and the fastest European player was, shock, Mario Balotelli ( Yes you read it right) the LAZIEST player in the World . Which shows that speed in football is highly "situational" (you can to sprint at full speed only if you need to/ in a situation to do so !!!)
Here were the fastest player at the last World Cup :
You have to click on the "top speed" tab since at first, you will see the players who covered the higher total distance (basically those who played 7 matches)
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/statistics/players/distance.htmlThe 3 fastest players were 3 "colored" defenders. Half of the top 10 were non-White , which is surprising because Black were (very) far from making half of the players in the last World Cup ...
I have to wonder if the author of this topic is trolling. Messi is definitely not one of the fastest player in the World (quickest ) yes but fastest ?
I would bet my house that the fastest player in the World is probably playing in a low level divison and you have probabaly never heard about him.
Those that the OP mentionned are only the best and the most famous, not the fastest.
saying that Ronaldo is one of the fastest soccer players in the world is almost as silly as saying Miguel Cabrera is one of the fastest baseball players in the world
