Do you think Bolt's answers regarding a lifetime ban for drugs and not being able to beat Gatlin were interrelated?

Since there is no evidence that drugs are in any way beneficial, the switch to banning people for attitudes can fill in the gaps, i.e. "drugs didn't help Regina, so we'll just ban her for a bad mental attitude", i.e. she's a black woman, and didn't answer our interview questions etc.

Bolt has run faster than Gatlin. Is this and admission that he "Bolt" was on drugs when he ran that time, otherwise why wouldn't he beat Gatlin this year as well, other than being out of shape. He's talking out of both sides of his mouth.

I don't know if I've ever formally interviewed him.

I hung out with him backstage at a Puma event prior to Beijing with just me, Matt Taylor (then of Puma now of tracksmith) and Bolt.

Bolt was cool. This was before he won all the golds and was real famous.

Matt told him I ran letsrun.com and Bolt apologized and said he didn't really do a lot on the Internet except for Facebook and games.

He then asked if I knew Kevin Garnett. Said he thought he was cool, famous and wanted to meet him. I laughed and said something along the lines of, "hey if you win the 100, 200 and 4 x 100, you'll be a way bigger deal than him."

He was like "You think so?" I was like "Yes."

On my way out, I said something along the lines of but if you really want to be a legend do the 4 x 400 as well.

Later that year, Weldon would later attend a Celtics Game with Bolt and Taylor where Bolt met Garnett:

PS. Oh yeah one more thing I remember. One of the interpreters was a very attractive girl. Bolt certainly didn't hide the fact he was just staring at her throughout.

So basically if you are running but not in PR shape one year, that means you have to have been on drugs?

That is the normal Letsrun logic - no one can be world class without doping - don't you read your own board?

People on this forum are mad it's like they hate seeing someone talented if someone runs quick it's immediately 'I bet he/she was doped up' instead of 'He/she must have had a good training program this year'

And we wonder why track & field don't get much media attention, our 'so called' fans of the sport constantly associate every athlete with drugs and wonder why it's hard to get any decent sponsorships.

Bolt isn't on drugs?

If logic teaches us anything, its to look at the obvious. Look at every "NUMBER ONE" sprinter that has come under question or scrutiny. Dating back to the Cold War era.

Lewis 84/88 was busted. Ben Johnson was busted. Everyone except the Brazilian and Calvin Smith was busted. (1988)

1992 Linford Christie (Nandrolone. 1996 Was Donovan Bailey. While there wasn't any verified proof, there was some suspicion from the camp (Ben Johnson and those dirty Canadians). 2001 Maurice Green came under question with the HSI group and with Angel Herredia (Mexican Drug Supplier). Tim Montgomery and his project world record with Victor Conte/Marion Jones too! Dwain Chambers was involved with Balco. Tyson Gay, busted for "unspecified substances". Asafa Powell, busted for stimulants that he "claims he wasnt aware of". Yohan Blake back in 2009 (if you dont remember) was not in Berlin due to a drug sit out. Steve Mullings, busted TWICE!

In retrospect I named a few of the number one or two sprinters in their respective eras that were caught or under suspicion. So your telling me that out of all these men, Bolt is SQUEAKY CLEAN? And can NATURALLY run a 9.58?

These athletes know what they are doing and have found a way to cheat the system. And what sucks is that the IAAF and WADA know, they just refuse to really put a stop to it. Imagine, a world where records were rarely attacked and competition was dry to to certain standouts. I am not claiming that ALL athletes are one drugs. I am simply putting it out there that it is too obvious. Remember seeing Lance Armstrong pull away to win his 7th title? Or those of you remember seeing Marion win by the largest margin in history? Or the crazy start that Ben Johnson had in Seoul (he was about even with the gun)?

Drugs+Records=Money

Look at all the caucasian olympic medalists of the last 35 years over 10,000 meters:

1980:Maaninka was Finnish blood doper, that goes without saying. 1984:Alberto Cova group pretty much admits to doping, Finnish guy Marti Vanio lost his silver after getting caught. Antibo same story as Cova. So your telling me that out of all these men, Rupp is SQUEAKY CLEAN?

Please, Carl Lewis was "caught" for a stimulant found in his cold medicine, something he'd easily pick up a TUE for today. I'd hardly call that "busted" in terms of something that would actually help him.
