This brings up those other questions that many have trouble answering. Are you dumber than you look, look dumber than you are, or exactly as dumb as you look? You have to be one of the three, right?

The problem with choosing intelligence is that I tend to think of the number of highly intelligent college professors out there that are broke as a joke.
I'm sure they may understand some novel on a different level than I, or physics and high level mathematics, BUT if they're living in a 1500 sq. ft house and barely buying groceries, so what?
"Intelligence" is very broad and doesn't mean you are Bill Gates or Steve Jobs inventing the home PC.
These two kids fit the description of really wealthy, but stupid and kind of unattractive:

I don't think I'd like their life. If you had all the money in the world but weren't smart you'd probably overdose before long.
Give me the intellect.

Looks don't matter when you have money. Things are more fun when you're dumb.
Winning response!
Wealth and look are easy to evaluate. Intelligence?
mmmmmnotsomuch.

This may surprise you, but not everyone goes into their career of choice for the sake of money. Some people actually thoroughly enjoy what they do.
Some libs like low-paying jobs, because it's easier for them to "justify" government handouts.
you put too many rules on this.
obviously someone exceedingly attractive, even while stupid, could build at the very least comfortable wealth. Look at most actors and models.
someone who is exceedingly intelligent will find ways to generate wealth also.
Dumb scenario.
It seems nearly half the respondents have ignored the contraints on the question put on by the OP. For example, if I'm good looking I still can't use those looks to land a wealthy wife who would share her wealth with me and thus make me wealthy (as the OP said "you can not use your attractiveness to gain monetary stability").
So, given that I cannot use intelligence to gain money (kind of an odd constraint), I would not select intelligence. Being a genius yet doomed to a life where you are significantly poorer than people who have half your smarts would be depressing as hell. If I'm doomed to be dirt poor, then it might actually be better to be stupid. So it comes down to looks vs. wealth. Since I'm a guy, I'll take wealth. See the hottest chics. Ideally they want rich and good-looking but if forced to choose they would take rich and ugly over poor and good-looking. And then there are other reasons to be wealthy besides hooking up with chics while the advantages of being attractive are fairly limited (can't take nice vacations on looks alone, etc.).
