1. It shouldn't have taken 6 years just to get back to pre-recession levels given the circumstances.
The circumstances were that pre-recession levels of the economy were based on consumer spending by borrowing on their over valued home equity.
We shouldn't get back to that.
Things had to be corrected.

Thanks for clearing that up.
because if you are a conservative and you dislike him, then you don't even understand your party's platform, because Obama is e very bit as conservative as just about all of them.[/quote from flagpole]
You're welcome.
agip, name one country that the US has a better relation with now? Not China, Iraq, Israel, Germany, the UK, certainly not Russia. Putin sized up obama to be a p*ssy and is doing what he damn well pleases.
We deserve better than this vacation-taking, golf playing, race baiting, scandalous, lying welfare-in-chief POS.
History will show him to be the worst president ever who presided over the last days of the US.

You're a kool-aid drinking lost cause if I've ever seen one.
These statements are the perfect example of how low information liberals look at everything.

I'll go with germany, the UK, heck, all of western Europe - so Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, andorra, switzerland, austria, belgium, nederland, ireland...I'll also go with australia, I'll go with canada and Mexico.
I doubt you'll find a study that finds any country likes bush 2 more than obama - maybe israel. Maybe some odd african country - apparently bush 2 did a lot of good in africa. China relations are pretty much the same between bush/obama.
in other words, you can't be serious.

The liberals on this thread have offered up a lot more support than the baseless claims by the conservatives, or no information voters.
You are an uninformed idiot. Angela Merkel hates obama. The Brits have dissed obama. Western Europe don't trust him as his leadership has been impotent. (a word I'm sure you know well.)
The Aussies supported the Iraq war and obama has f*cked it up and all the gains the US/Australia made has been lost.
Speaking of Bush, some of those countries are re-thinking their criticisms from years past. Bush is more popular now than obama.
Bush 49%

1) you are right about all your points about how obama has ticked off europe, but even after all that... foreign citizens approve of obama around 60-70% vs. bush at around 25%. Think about that. They really truly hated bush 2 - they don't love obama, but they sure like obama a huge amount more than cowboy george.
2) Those polls you posted are US only so they don't mean anything in this conversation.
-1
well maybe 50-60% is more accurate.
1) Actually, considering it was the worst financial crisis in our world's history (according to Bernanke), then yes, it should have taken as long as it has. Started under Bush. Ended under Obama.
2) Bush said that bin Laden wasn't relevant any longer. Obama made it a priority. They found him based on LOTS of intelligence going all that way back to Clinton's time, but it was Obama who made it a priority from day 1. Bush woulda coulda shoulda...didn't.
3) You seem to know nothing about the stock market with your prattle about that. Historically the best bull markets happen when Democrats are in power.
4) All of the money for bailouts was done in a bi-partisan way. Obama and McCain almost had a tongue kiss about it they were both so on the same page. To now bring up THAT spending and No. 1 call it a failure (which it wasn't) and No. 2 pin a failure on Obama is disingenuous at best and really more than likely just shows ignorance on your part.
5) Your numbering system doesn't line up with anything, and you are unclear and quite frankly uninteresting and so wrong, so this #5 point will have to be my last to you unless you can do better.
Isn't that just baby boomers retiring? Flagpole can explain more fully why a reduced labor participation rate is a good thing. Wealthy enough you don't need to work or something like that.
Obama isn't African. He's actually fully American, half black, half white, and if you must, African American. He is not "African". (quote)
The only typical ‘African American’ about him is that, predictably, he was brought up by a single parent - his mother.
How many typical African Americans have a Kenyan (that country is in Africa by the way) father and a white Kansas born mother?
How many African Americans have had a Muslim stepfather and had schooling in Indonesia?
Future historian may enlighten us as to the machinations involved as to how this alien creature became president of the US - clearly orchestrated by that tiny percentage that have seen their wealth rise to astronomic levels while the rest of us have become increasing impoverished.

You do realize that you are a racist, right?
Since when do you have to be "typical" to be American? Only Native Americans are from here, brother. All others are from other places and by now, the vast majority of us are mixed from people from all different places. I'm part German, part English, part Irish, and who the hell knows what else.

Baby Boomers retiring is HUGE! Incomes and job stability have risen so that not all two-adult households need to have both working. So, yes, some of those are older people who are not working. Some are younger people who have taken time off to be with children OR older parents who might need help.
A low workforce participation rate is not necessarily a bad thing. In times of GREAT bounty, the participation rate would drop to amazingly low levels. Why work when you don't have to?
We've had the perfect storm (one that I predicted several years ago by the way) of an aging population AND a greatly improving stock market. This provides people OF retiring age with also the MEANS to retire.
