We won states in 2000 and my coach was 65
If my old H.S. makes it to NTN my coach said he would designate me to act as the coach, since the rules wont allow him to do it. Im only 20. Im sure I would be the youngest coach at NTN. They are currently ranked 3rd in their region.
Bill Eschman's Crystal Lake Central xc team won the 1995 Illinois Class AA title over York of Elmhurst 67-84 in his first year as head coach after taking over for the legendary Dick Kloepfer. I believe Bill was only in his second or third year of teaching and coaching which would have made him 24-26 years old.(I could be a little off?) Winning a State title over York in your first year as head coach is crazy. I told him he might as well retire right then and there but he's continued on producing solid teams each year.
Coach Mac is the coolest coach that ever lived!!!!!!GOTTA GO GOTTA GOOOOO.CONTACT CONTACT!!!!!!WHISTLE WHISTLE!!!!!Walt "the stalt" (thats your hint)

That's the kind of info I was looking for. Anyone under 25 in their first year as head coach?
Kevin Hanson coached team (Sterling Heights Stevenson) won the Girls Big School (Class A) cross-country state title in 1985. Kevin was 25 then. An intersesting fact for those critics that think that the Hansons are new to the sport.

I believe Westfield High School (just north of Indianapolis) Girl's Cross Country and Track Coach Scott Lidskin was only 24 when, in either his first or second year at Westfield, his girl's won the 1998 Indiana State High School XC Championship.
The place to look is EARLY state championships. At that time generally only a two-year normal school degree was required to teach, so you caould have 20-year-olds on the faculty. Ohio' state meet began in 1908, I don't know about other states.
