I have a friend who is in graduate school for computer science and he
photographs birds
ballroom dances
figure skates
speaks/writes French, German, Spanish, English and Chinese
Also I think proficiency (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in 3+ languages should be a requirement.

According to Nick Symmonds's mom, being a Renaissance Man requires:
* Finding an academic field you like and getting good at it
* Finding a sport/artistic activity you like and getting good at it
* Having a likeable personality
By that I EASILY make the cut. I don't know if that's enough. Is there anything more that should be added? Flagpole?
likeability? Not a good definition. No one liked Michelangelo and Leonardo was also a bitter pill.
How about me?

The data is accurate. The TONE and putting it in a thread about being a Renaissance Man is all for kicks, brother. I mean "Super Duper Writer" and "REALLY REALLY"? Use your noggin, brother.

Ivy League degree
visible non-flexing abs
sub-12 100m dash AND sub-5 mile
basic proficiency in at least 1 programming language (not HTML/CSS)

how in the world do masters degrees in different subjects count as a negative?
no credit for running?
and success is success - the answer is finance/investing. But it doesn't really matter.
I'm using my crack analytical skills to reject your rating system.

INCORRECT! +10 because I KNEW that was the reaction I would get when I wrote it. I'm a bit bored today as I only had one very early morning meeting with a client.
Everyone here's trolling, right? You might consider yourselves renaissance men, but to others you looks more like jacks-of-all-trades.

The MBA signifies that you are a conformist. Renaissance men are anything but conformists.
That is very good, although I'd like to see you be fluent in Italian. In Europe (other than the UK), it is normal to be fluent in 2-3+ languages. I think we need a higher bar than just being conversational.
Same with Flagpole, it would be nice to get that Spanish above "passable" but good job so far

What about Renaissance Women? What kind of backwards values are those? Why are you assuming there are no women on LetsRun?
Women have smaller brains, just being realistic.

Aren't those pretty much synonyms?
