Press release: Mo Farah has been forced to cancel his participation in the 2 miles at the Sainsbury’s Glasgow Grand Prix due to illness. The double Olympic and World Champion was admitted to hospital in the USA with abdominal pains for a couple of days last week and is undergoing further testing in the UK with British Athletics medical team this week. He hopes to compete in the 2 miles at the London Anniversary Games on July 20 instead. He plans to be back in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games at the end of the month.
Quote from Mo -
“Sorry to everyone in Scotland but I won’t be able to make it there this week. I hope to resume training in the next few days and aim to run in the London Anniversary Games on July 20 and then the Commonwealth Games the following week.”

Is this the beginning of the end for Farah?
All the greats tail off at one point or another. Farah passed out after the NYC half and now he's in the hospital. To be best in the world one needs to be 100%.
You heard it hear first- Galen Rupp 10,000 gold in 2016. -
Strange that people go to dangerous hospitals where many people are killed, instead of just doing a few cleansings.
-
You really think you're the first to say Rupp is getting gold in 16?
-
Stick a fork in him.

Are you serious? Idiot. -
This is sad. Mo was a damn fine track runner. I think all of us want him to recover and run some incredible times, maybe push his training partner Rupp to an AR or two.
-
doesn't mo get his fill of pills and syringes at home?

Who knew JR hid behind anonymous names too? -
so let's see...the two biggest stars in track each have odd injuries that are keeping them from racing. nothing serious, you know - just enough to keep them on the sidelines.
-
Heard he was getting gastric bypass.
-
Labor pains from carrying Rupps twins

Not really.
Particularly if your name is Bekele. -
He couldn't come up with a valid excuse if he lost to Willis or anyone else. Marathon probably F'd him up good is more like it

Don't worry, they'll do some tests and get the NOPe dope adjusted righteously.
-
What really sucks about this is that the organisers called up all the 2 mile participants yesterday and cancelled the race on them.

Don't worry guys I'm okay. I just decided to try those Quaker Steak & Lube hot wings. Thought police's story was no joke. They destroyed my digestive system :(
