So all this talk about the gray area , approaching the line etc.
What are folks meaning when they say this.
The first group require money but seems most any runner that had access would use these.
1) Altitude chambers. Seems most agree these are fine?
2) Cryotherapy , not sure what this one is but have heard it mentioned. Seems reasonable.
3) Message/PT on demand
4) Hydro/underwater running
5) Low G treadmill (Or is this the same as the underwater running?)
This next group seems closer to the line, though I'm not clear if they actually have been shown to do anything
6) Various TUEs. My understanding is no NOP are on TUEs at the present.
7) Thyroid meds. Several runners were on this, don't need a TUE. No one knows for sure if any NOP are still on this ? Has this been actually shown to improve performance?
8) asthma inhalers. No TUE for this? Any research shown they actually do anything.
Further yet.
I'm hazy on what things would fall in this next group.
9) Xenon gas? Since banned.
Can others with more knowledge add insight/additions/clarifications on these gray area things?
