I have to admit it was the close up of the Kenyan female runner with her hair dyed in Kenyan flag colors.
Cool.
Other than that, the entire USA Women's team that seemed to want to be there, and want it, more than the men's in many cases.

Why the hell is the word moment in quotations?
I thought Pat Casey's opening leg in the 4x15 was exciting. He was the "nobody" on the team and he basically won a straight 1500 against Gebremedhin and Cheboi, both 3:31 guys. Kept the USA in the race a lot longer than one might have guessed.

And Gregson and two more good guys I should add. Who would pick him to win a race among those 7?
I thought it was Lashawn Merritt anchoring USA to gold
For me it was when we showed our dominance with another flawless 4x100m gold medal.
The Oiselle controversy
I guess Dave Torrence 2nd leg men's 4 x 1500. If he'd run a 28 second final 200 his split would have been 3:31.5-- but he ran balls out and came home in 33.1 over the last 200. Way to go Dave!
What will Torrence do in his next 1500 with a pace workout like that in his legs???
Favorite moment: Absence of any useful performances by Ducks/NOP.
Where was Centro? Rupp?
Duck, duck, duck...

Under some circumstances, this might be valid.
In this case, I'm fairly sure they have a relatively important meet coming up next weekend that just happens to be the largest that Nike hosts each year.
Moreover, what on Earth would Rupp even be doing if he came to the meet? He's a 10000m specialist who sometimes has a good run at 5000m. Sure, he had a good mile, but he's never bothered at all to focus on the event.
That being said, a very large number of athletes turned down spots on the World Relays team (I recall that 3 of the original 4 chosen for the women's 4 x 1500m bailed), most likely because they are all running at Pre next weekend.
Can someone give me the 4*1500 men's race video
Probably when they introduced the pervcam.
Christian Taylor, totally out of his event, holding on to the #3 400m runner in the world in Chris Brown in the 3rd leg of the 4X4. Bahamas needed at least a 1 second lead over Merritt when he got the baton for BAH to have a chance to win, and Taylor wouldn't give it to them. It was over as soon as Merritt got the baton.
The guy's got balls, period.
Can you IMAGINE Rupp in the triple jump?

how is Chris Brown the #3 400 guy in the world?
Chris Brown just won the silver medal indoors. Not quite in the same class as Merritt and James.

favourite running moment(s).
THey are more than one;
1. Women's 4 x 1500m relay.
2. Men's 4 x 1500m relay.
I say that for obvious reasons.
Favourite non running moments.
1. Uganda's starter in the men's 4 x 800m being left at the start line by everyone else. After that, Uganda was done.
We are still laughing about this- my brother and I.
2. Aman Wote looking diagonally across the track to check where Asbel Kiprop (who was about 200m ahead) is/was.
I must also say that the entire event was memorable-the bungling of the stick by the US especially e.t.c.
Great meet.

Great point.... except for the fact Asbel Kiprop runs for....
you got it Nike.
Or is this an attempt by Phil Knight to tire him out so the 'real' nike guys - the slower american versions can win?

Have you forgot that Salazar was takling about RUpp breaking the world indoor mile record this year?
I don't think he would have been selected but I actually think he'd be good in 4 x 1500 leg where you are dropped, running all alone. Strength guys do well in relays as they really aren't fast enough to do something stupid and totally blow it by going out too fast but are good at running alone.
