USA may get DQd but they won't make the final on time anyway.

not only is dennis mitchell a convicted doper, he's a poor relay coach. two dq's in men's 4x1 and 4x2.
sjc, would you prefer alsal to be the coach so that an epic complaint could be filed?
Grown men who have probably been doing this since they were 8 should be able to get a baton around a track.
The US has some of the most experienced relay coaches in the world and they send doper Mitchell? Unbelievable
It's like I said yesterday we need to actually practice the handoffs OR WE SHOULDN'T RUN THE DAMN RELAYS!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely disgraceful that we can't even get the damn stick around inside the zones. We have the second best if not the best sprinters in the world so why the HELL CAN'T WE AT LEAST FINISH THE DAMN RACE?!?!
I'm not saying we should win every event, the Jamaicans have an incredibly good team, but we should at least be competing with them each race. I can't remember if it was the 2013 WCs or 2012 OGs but in one of those 4x1s we actually got the stick around and ended up losing to Jamaica, but it was a good race and we put ourselves in position to win but couldn't pull it out. I'm fine with getting second to a good team but getting DQ'd EVERY RACE IS NOT OKAY WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!
I would be scared shitless to medal and be tested, and have nightmares about popping positive for a stick of Nike gum.
I am glad Gatlin is not there.
I'll bet an Alsal coached team would get the baton around the track without being dq'd!!

sounds good. we could get rid of both of them.
Yeah. AlSal would have some magic glue for hand-offs...
I've noticed that sometimes sprinters can be too arrogant to practice properly. To get the timing right, you have to practice running into the zone at full speed.

The US coach who did a great job as relays coach is the one USADA is attempting to ban for life
Thanks for the update, WeJo. Anyone know how many beers Dennis had last night + how many times he and Damu did it?
Americans probably run more sprint relays in high school and college than any other country in the world. All of our sprinters have a ton of experience at it. Most good high school and college coaches can get their teams to pass the baton cleanly and easily. How come they can't do it on this level?
Karma is a bitch isn't it Dennis? 2 races with technical handoffs and US goes 0-2. Haha
Pretty much assures Mitchell will never serve as national coch again. Couldn't happen to worse person!

Good. We wouldn't want him to serve as the national coch.
Two words..UNDERHAND PASS!

You must mean Americans are too arrogant. All the other countries' sprinters seem to be just fine with baton passes.

Seriously, though, why?
