That's the PERFECT setting for Solomon to get the AR...could he even break 1:42? If he tucks in 3rd behind pacesetter-Rudisha-Kaki then the AR is his.
It is highly unlikely Duane Solomon will get the AR in that race. I foresee a Daegu world championship(2011) final type race, where Rudisha, instead of going with the pacemaker(I know there was no pacemaker in Daegu), will follow an unusual script.
Don't hype this so much, it will never live up to it. Rudisha has not run under 1:43.87 in almost two years. He's not going to do anything amazing in his first race back, and nobody else will if he doesn't.
What you should hype is the loaded Bowerman Mile which Will Leer is gonna WIN. Remember he ran 3:52 indoors.
I think if Duane is going to get the AR, it will be at Pre. He is very fit and doesn't hold fitness well through the season. Plus he has nostalgia for his Trials race that turned his career around, The "Eugene magic" will be there, at least mentally.
