Will they do the right thing and DQ GG? That's always been the real scandal that she wasn't Dq'd in the first place.

Can they require her to go to running education class....kinda like drivers ed? To help prevent future accidents that are easily avoidable. She's a danger to the running society.

Amazing that you, Wejo, haven't come on here with an apology to Jordan H., Alberto S. and the USATF team. You, of the "jump to conclusions" and find "guilt before the facts", should be ashamed of yourself. Shame on you for running the kangaroo court in the first place, but even a bigger shame for what you are doing now -- trying to deflect back on USATF, when you are the one most responsible for causing this needless, erroneous and inexcusable commotion. If it's journalism, it a pretty poor excuse and shows that you don't understand the first thing about real journalism. I suspect it's more about your personal biases and greed.

The NBA took a franchise away from an Owner in 72 hours but USATF needs 3 months to make a decision on a DQ.

No the preponderance of evidence is against Wejo and his LR shills whose judgments and opinions seethe of hatred for anything Nike or AS. A reasonable person watches that race and sees that GG just bulled through Jordan and threw her cadence off ending her race. They then see a coach coming to Jordan's defense, insisting (and finally prevailing) that the judges look more closely at GG's tactics. Wejo and his shills look at the same race and see "polite bumping" and then an army of Nike people getting their way. Enraged that the Nike people would be correct, they start a crusade to tear down USATF, Nike, AS...anyone who isn't in their "hatred" camp. And no, I'm not a Nike or AS shill, just a guy who has been involved in track and field for many years and is upset that the lack of professionalism and the bully pulpit is damaging this sport over their own personal vendettas.

What are you talking about? I said nothing about rushing or not rushing. I was talking about the posting of a video that was not meant to be public. Learn to read.

The NBA operates on a scale much greater than the NBA. They have many more resources and employees that can handle single situations. Sometimes, even in the NBA, some situations take much longer than 72 hours to resolve so your point is wrong and inappropriate.

Considering that's the only part of my post that you could come up with a response to (in addition to your clear miscomprehension of my first post), I'm not sure that you're capable of understanding anything.

So to sum this up:

The USATF is going to "acknowledge" the issues from indoor nationals in another month, which also happens to be three months AFTER the race took place.

this is embarrassing. this is the american t & f governing body, and it takes THREE months to clear up two DQs?

What further evidence do they need to issue a correction and an apology about the absurd Andrew Bumbalough DQ? I won't get into the other one, which seems more nuanced, but the Bumbalough was a complete travesty. NO ONE in that race deserved a DQ, but least of all Bumbalough who made zero contact with anyone.

Not only should Hasay be dq'd for cutting off GG, she should be banned from the sport for allowing Salazar to make a mockery of American "justice" on her behalf.

This whole episode just confirmed for the rest of the world what a joke American sports really are - just a bunch of cheaters on every level (Lance,all the Pro major sports and now even T&F). Sad and so unnecessary.

This lack of sanity has me worried for you, your family or anyone you may actually come in contact with. If you do in fact have your sanity, maybe the solution is more along the visual impairment lines....For that, I'm sure we would all be willing to chip in a few bucks to get you to an eye doc. With the recent Battle of Marathon thread it reminded me about how much different life was back during Herodotus' days. No modern communication systems or modes of travel. The daily logistics of organizing and engaging in battle had to slow things down to a snails place.

The USATF operates slower than the Athenian army and their hoplites. In those days the networks of scouts and messengers was was an important cog in the war machinery, so important that communication between adversaries was valued to the point that the phrase "don't shoot the messenger" was the rule of the day.

The messenger has proven to be a useless in this case. Geer's service to the USATF more resembles the Praetorian Guard then that of a spokesperson.
