I won $100 from Asics towards a pair of shoes doing their treadmill challenge. I don't need any shoes for training, but I don't have any racing flats. I wear Saucony Kinvaras for pretty much all races, from 5k to marathon. Is it worth it to get racing flats for shorter distances, specifically 5-10K?
Are there any racing shoe recommendations for a runner who is a mild supinator? Or does that even matter when it comes to racing shoes?
I used to wear the Hyperspeed and it was a sweet shoe. Asics stopped making it for a while but I see it's back. I've been wearing Saucony A5 lately but will probably give the current Hyperspeed a try when I get new flats.
Hyperspeed is a good 5k to 10k shoe, or at least it used to be.
Asics piranhas are good, some of the lightest flats available, no support or anything though. I'd thoroughly recommend them if you are happy to abandon any cushioning or stability.
