I bought a pair of the GoRuns and, while they're not bad, I wasn't too impressed.
My main complaints are 1) the "rocker like" midsole that (to me) feels very awkward to run in and 2) the outsole didn't have any rubber and was not durable at all. It rains frequently where I live and I felt there was no traction at all after only 150 miles or so.
I'm sure Skechers will continue to evolve, and I'm glad there's more competition in the running shoe market. They're just not for me.
Have you tried the latest models? I had the originals, and they were like a completely different shoe, as compared to the 2s and 3s (I have the 3s now and the GoMeb Speed 2s). There is nothing polarizing about their latest models- none of that rockered feeling. I think they get better with each new model that comes out.
Also, the sole is much grippier in the latest models- that was one big difference I noticed, having run in the originals. The GoMebs is one of the grippiest flats I've tried lately (of all the popular marathon shoes).
