You are vastly underestimating the NCAA if you think Oregon distance will score that many points.

Ed Cheserek has yet to lose a national championship 3 for 3

Parker Stinson has PBs in the top 10 in the nation and was 3rd in indoor 5K

Trevor Dunbar has a PB of 3:38 in the 1500

Eric Jenkins ran 13:18 only Lawi has run faster

Brett Johnson ran sub 3:40

Mac Fleet defending champ has run 3:38/1:46

Boru Guyota 1:47 guy

so no these are legit All-American caliber studs all on one team. I am not underestimating anything

The Big Cheese will NOT triple. Oregon will get enough points in the Javelin (Crouser), Hammer (Skipper), 100 Highs (Cabral) and 400 (Berry) to ease the need to double and triple people in the distances. I don't think they will score in the 800 this year, but they will score big in the 1500 (Dunbar, Fleet), 5K (Jenkins, Cheserek) and 10K (Jenkins, Stinson and Cheserek). They will likely win the National with around 60 points.

800 maybe Goyuta will score 1 point 1,500 that is Fleet race 10 points 4 for Miner or Johnson I can't remember which one still baked from 4/20 lol 5 K I'm thinking Jenkins,Cheserek and Dunbar run this a lot of points 10,6,5 maybe Stinson 10 K I'm thinking Cheserek,Stinson and Dunbar,8,5,4 Jav. Crouser at least 6 points most likely 10 Keys 5 points DEC, Hammer Skipper 5-6 points maybe the frechman in the Stepple 2 points so that's 71 points for Oregon at the least. I see an Oregon sweep just like indoors for the men and women GO DUCKS

Running a one off 1600 leg is one thing, but running a fast 1500 after a 10k and 5k is another.

I think it's great that the older runners like Cheserek get out there and inspire the kids - you know, legit freshmen for example, who aren't 21 or 22 years old.

I think Cheserek is just 19 years old, and he doesn't look that old to me. So, why all the smack about age? This kid looks like any other high school senior or college freshman, that is until he steps a foot on the track and jets past everyone.

to be fair, the post by "Training Expert" implied King Ches doesn't have the wheels to hang with the NCAA big boys @ 1500, which is obviously not case after today. whether he can do it after the 10 & 5 is another matter.

Who cares? While I have nothing against Cheserek, per se, as far as I am concerned the NCAA is about AMERICAN athleticism and non-Americns should not be allowed to compete. Let them compete in their own countries and then go up against other competitive athletes in international meets. Our own home grown guys and gals are getting overshadowed by interlopers from all over the globe, many of them recruited by unethical American coaches seeking nothing more than to weasel their way into a championship. It is a disgrace and a smack in the face of every real American athlete who came up through the American pipeline. Am I wrong?

Who cares what his age is. Every BYU Sophomore is 22-23. So he is no different than those scam artists.

is there a limit as to how old you can be and still compete? if someone competes 6 years (4 years running, a redshirt, and a rare medical redshirt), they at oldest would be 24. That should be the age limit. If people want to go take 2 year missions, they can do it after college.

Lol. If you've actually seen him in person then you know he's no teen lol. However, it is good to see the older guys like him step up and set an example for the kids.
