Oh, and for his skin color indicating PEDs.

Good call!
Rudisha seems to be loved by everyone.
So aside from the retired names that were mentioned like Ryun, Shorter, and Rodgers (all of which I think are acceptable answers but I think are slightly protected from today's hate because they were competing in an era of fans and media that were not as in-tune to everything that goes on in the world of running like we are today. If they were competing today, I undoubtedly think they would receive some criticism), we have only:
B-mart
Jager
Kipchoge (Though he did miss London)
Tulu
Anyone have any other ideas or care to dispute these?
Ben True
Brian Sell
Max King
Michael Wardian

+1 to Ben True. He's here to fsu and return to his home in Nowhere, NH. Never bothered anybody, ran fast.

He said "Elite runner out there today." So only Tulu and Flanagan qualify.

Hey Challenger Accepter.... if you read the entire post you will see that the last sentence reads: "Another Question: Is there any runners from history that the majority of people supported?"
Guess what? That's what I was responding to.
And the Tulu I was referring to was the 10K Olympic champ from many years ago. Maybe she is Dibaba's aunt, I don't know. I do know she is a relative.

Alan Webb gets a lot of jokes, but it's clearly more schoolyard "I've got a crush on you" teasing than hate. I don't think anyone really dislikes him.
Chris Derrick
Jager
This is actually much harder for women. I can't think of anyone; even Joan Benoit Samuelson gets hate.
who doesn't like David Rudisha?
even if he is doped to the gills (which I don't think he is), I would still love him

Sorry I don't read well. But don't you think if LetsRun were around in those days there would be some hate?
Did Kipchoge duck London or was he not invited?
Genevieve lacaze
Susana Hejnova. Never heard a bad word about her.
Umm, Haile Gebrsellassie! Hello?!
Basically universally revered for his work ethic, attitude, and commitment to helping his people.
I don't think anyone hates him. I'm sure he's been criticized for things, but come on, if you include minor criticisms as hatred then you're setting yourself up for a negative result.
People have been really fond of AJ Acosta on this site recently.
I am only kidding. Please don't start another anti-AJ thread, I don't thunk I could handle it again.
People seem gentle towards jenny simpson compared to some others.

He's been called a doper plenty of times which is no minor criticism. There are some elites who don't get called dopers much. Kipchoge for one.
Daniel Komen is in the same category as HG, generally worshipped as a god, but a favorite target for dope talk.
