np1112: 30-mile progression? Insane! In your experience, at what volume do you start considering training runs in excess of 26 miles?
cmm268: Looks like a quality-packed week, tempos, intervals, and progressions galore. Stay strong, almost on the home stretch!
Slartzio: Definitely take it easy, you want to be able to make the most of the next two months.
TheGarbageDisposal: Awesome Sunday workout. Nice long pace run a few weeks out has to have you looking good for your goal.
The Stone Cutter: Welcome back! Way to keep a positive attitude and quickly identify a new goal.
Ghola: Congrats on the PR! Looks like you're closing in on your goal with more than a month to go.
printer: Very sorry to hear it, that's gotta be heartbreaking this close to the race. Hang in there, and hopefully this week brings a positive turn.
KBXC: Love the car analogy, and glad to hear the training is paying off.
Forcerunner: Workouts looked solid, consistent times with no fading toward the end.
bajada master: How long were the rests in those intervals? If you can hit that 6-minute mile, the 22-minute 5k should follow pretty quickly.
Muebele: Man, illness is no fun, hopefully it clears up quickly. And don't get me started about the weather - it snowed again today with more on the way Thursday. >.<
reed: Wow, 20-second gap in the first and second laps of that race, pretty crazy! Best of luck in your 10k - like you said, trust the training and run your own race.
xenonscreams: Regardless of the circumstances, races like that are frustrating as hell. I think the early part of the week took a pretty heavy toll, though, and there just wasn't enough time to recover and give 100% on Saturday.
HardLoper: Honestly, sometimes you've got to push yourself and see what the limits are. I think if you stay consistent with the training, you'll see the improvement you want.
Once and Future: Nice, congrats on the mileage PR! With the training you've been doing and a tempo pace consistently 30 seconds or more under goal pace, you're looking great for London. Bank the training and rest however much you need to before race day. Oh, and calf's feeling better, no problems since Saturday.
Swift23r: I'm jealous of what must've been an adventurous and picturesque trail run in Colorado.
SlowDown: Interesting Tuesday workout. Probably a good sign if you felt fresh after those intervals.
illinoisphotographer & Ca$hclay: Congrats on the great race performances!
