Who?
Did he get the 10.21 record for Blake or was it wind-aided? That 10.16 in 2nd is making me think there might have been some aiding conditions.

1.3 m/s tailwind. Would have still broken the record with no wind.

Yup, legal.
Sweet. Might be able to compete with the big boys by the time Rio rolls around.

Why is Zharnel Hues such a big deal when several US high schoolers have run better? Didn't Jeff Demps run 10.01 right after HS? Do US high schoolers have some advantage?

Demps ran with a 1.6 tailwind in Eugene of all places and even so no high schooler has even sniffed at 10.12 ever since (except for Trayvon Bromell's super breezy 9.99w).
Glen Mills has said that his 200m is better this year and that these championships are just a warm up for World Juniors, so you can imagine that he's gonna get faster throughout the year.
At International level Hues will run for Britain.
Sorry. The name is Hughes.

To add: any time you break a record set by Yohan Blake (and perhaps one set by Usain Bolt today) you're doing it right.

1) Demps was a very big deal.
2) I don't think Hughes is being hyped as overly big or anything. It's interesting because he's from a tiny country and he just won Champs. Plus he's got great coaching so this may just beginning for him.

Not close to true. JAPAN had a 17-year old run 10.01 last year.

I meant US high schooler. Should have elaborated on that.
He's injured. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Good job pointing dat out. BTW trayvon bromell just ran 10.02
Bromell ran 10.02 yesterday and 10.01 today. Talk about consistent. And i believe both were wind legal. NCAA, US, and World #1 right now.

Didn't he win the Adidas dream 100 in high school once or am I mistaking him for someone else, because that name sounds familiar.
