You should respect the distance, but you also have a huge margin. It should be very easy if you make sure you pace correctly and don't push it in the first half. I've seen a lot of 17 5k runners bonk in a 42k and fail breaking 3h. Hint: they all crushed my 21k PB doing so.
I get injured easily, so could only average 40 miles per week. Some 3 hours biking sessions, never ran intervals, mostly tempos and steady trails. The goal was to break 3h. I ran 2:58 with a 1:26 half PB 5 month before. Never ran under 6:26/mile (4:00/km) in training or racing. The marathon felt easy, but at my limit. I was tuned for the speed by pacing a bunch of 1h30 halfs. Still haven't broken 39 at 10k, training for next marathon under 2h50 in 6 month.
