Yeah but couldn't Salazar's goal be to get Rowbury the title (for whatever it's worth)?

Although, I believe it was a foul, I also agree with you that she won so easily, that Salazar should not be trying to get her to go to Worlds. That is not in the best interests of US track.

It's not like Hasay has anything to gain from this move either; she'll move from fourth to third.

Sore loser, it's indoor, it happens, imagine if she was in the men's race over the last lap. Maybe Al Sal should have advised for a different tactic, since it was set up for her to lose at that pace, if not by Rowbury, then Grunewald. Hasay should not have been in that position in the first place, given her past experience over the final lap.

I completely agree and I was hoping Hasay would make the World team. Incidental contact. If Grunewald is DQ'd, then USATF needs to DQ someone in every distance race. That stuff happens all the time. It's unfortunate, but a DQ isn't warranted today in my opinion.

Hasay didn't earn it today. Grunewald and Rowberry did. Salazar would be pissed at himself for not having Hasay push the pace earlier in the race. She had no shot late in the game today.

Shouldn't we make sure that Salazar is the one filing the protest before we get all angry?

Is Salazar or Nike that pushed about the best interests of US track?

From what I understand, Hasay will not be going to worlds at all, regardless of whether or not Grunewald gets DQ'd. The one who ultimately benefits from this will be Vaughn, who was the 3rd-place finisher.

However, from what I saw, Grunewald made contact with multiple runners repeatedly during that race. I'm actually a bit surprised she hasn't already been DQ'd.
