Symmonds is many things, like him or not, and a savvy self-promoter is one of them. It would be completely unlike him to go to the lengths he did to get Paris' father's approval to take her out on a date only then to write about a physical encounter in a tawdry tell-all book. Besides, after the date his account made clear that they had fun but it was not exactly a romantic outing.
